Privacy policy
As of October 2026. English courtesy translation; the German version is legally binding.
This policy describes which personal data Riccardo Giacometti GmbH processes when you visit this website or send an enquiry, for what purpose, and what rights you have.
It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- This website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and uses no third-party analytics, tracking or advertising tools.
- The typeface, images, videos and all downloads are loaded from our own server in Germany. Visiting the site creates no connection to Google, social networks or any other third party.
- We only receive personal data from an enquiry when you send us an e-mail.
1. Controller
Riccardo Giacometti GmbHGotthardstrasse 26, 6300 Zug, Switzerland
Cross-Point is a service of Riccardo Giacometti GmbH. For any question about data protection or to exercise your rights, a short message is enough: through the enquiry form, to the e-mail address given in the legal notice, or by post.
2. Visiting the website
When you open a page, your browser sends technically necessary information to the server that hosts this website: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the page visited before, and browser and operating system. This information is recorded in server logs.
The purpose is to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure, for example to fend off attacks. Riccardo Giacometti GmbH also evaluates the logs in aggregated form, for example the number of page views and downloads, or which websites visitors come from. This shows which content is of interest. No cookies or scripts are used for this, no profiles are created and no data is combined with other sources.
The hosting provider keeps the logs only as long as necessary for operation, security and this evaluation, and deletes them afterwards.
The website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstrasse 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. The servers are located in Germany.
Where the GDPR applies, this processing is based on the legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website and in improving its content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Enquiries through the form or by e-mail
The enquiry form sends no data to the server of this website. “Send an enquiry” opens your own e-mail program with a prepared message. We only receive it once you send that e-mail.
We then process your name, your e-mail address, optionally your company and role, your message, the topics you chose to select, and the content of any further correspondence. The topic selection is held only in your browser during your visit and is not stored anywhere.
The purpose is to review and answer your enquiry and to establish whether and how working together makes sense. Please do not send confidential documents or sensitive personal data with your first enquiry.
E-mails are received and stored using Microsoft 365. Microsoft processes them as a processor under Microsoft’s data processing agreement (see section 8).
Enquiries are kept as long as necessary to answer them and for any resulting collaboration. If no collaboration follows, they are then deleted. If an assignment follows, the statutory retention duties for business records apply, as a rule ten years (Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations).
Where the GDPR applies, this processing is based on pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on the legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses no cookies and no comparable storage technologies such as local storage. That is why there is no cookie banner and nothing you need to consent to.
5. Typeface, images, videos and downloads
The Inter typeface and all images and videos are loaded directly from the server of this website. No content from Google Fonts, video platforms or other third parties is embedded.
Publications and tools can be downloaded without registration and without providing personal data. A download is recorded in the server log like any other page request (section 2).
6. Links to other websites
This website links to Riccardo Giacometti’s LinkedIn profile. It is a simple link, not an embedded element. Data is only transmitted to LinkedIn when you click the link. LinkedIn’s privacy policy then applies.
7. Recipients
Personal data is not sold and not passed on for advertising purposes. Access is given only to:
- the hosting provider and the e-mail provider as processors, contractually bound to these purposes and to data protection;
- external specialists, where they are brought in with your consent as part of an agreed mandate;
- authorities, where there is a legal obligation.
8. Disclosure abroad
The website is hosted on servers in Germany. Under Swiss law, Germany ensures an adequate level of data protection.
E-mails are processed using Microsoft 365. Microsoft is a company based in the USA. Where data is disclosed to, or accessed from, countries without adequate data protection, this happens only with appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses in the version recognised for Switzerland, as provided for in Microsoft’s data processing agreement. Microsoft is also certified under the EU-U.S. and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
9. Data security
The connection between your browser and this website is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to enquiries is limited to Riccardo Giacometti.
10. Your rights
You can at any time:
- ask which personal data about you is being processed;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- ask for erasure or restriction of processing;
- object to processing and withdraw consent you have given;
- ask for your data to be handed over or transferred in a common electronic format.
An informal message through the enquiry form, by e-mail (see the legal notice) or by post is enough. To protect your data, proof of identity may be requested.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch). Where the GDPR applies, you can also complain to the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence in the EU or EEA.
11. No automated decisions
No automated individual decisions and no profiling take place.
12. Changes
This policy is updated when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
